Fuseki

I have been playing weiqi/igo/baduk for nigh onto 17 years now, and its become a rather integral part of my daily life. I am positive coming academic endeavours may hinder my participation in this rather intriguing of pastimes, but its been an excellent adventure with its fair share of ups and downs (or maybe I should say tachis and sagaris). I am currently ranked at 5 Dan, way higher than my abilities in the game merit, and there is still a long ways to go before I even know what the game is about. Its been a wonderful journey with no end in sight, and I look forward to uncovering more of its mysteries. I doubt I can even add an iota of insight to 4000 years of toil, but it has impacted my life greatly by opening my eyes to personal strengths and weaknesses on and off the goban. A moment of quiet in the noise of life, if you will.
